Q. What level of photography skills do I need for the course?

Q. How does this differ from an ordinary walking tour or a photographic course?
A. This is more than a walking tour, because we provide professional tuition and the focus is squarely on the photography. In this respect, its more like a workhop, but where the subject matter comes from the well researched and varied locations London can offer. Browse our courses to book now!
Q. Can I use my compact or non-digital camera on this course?
A. You are welcome to use your compact, as long as it has a manual setting (see this link to get an idea of compact cameras that have this ability). We can’t cater for non-digital (film) cameras, because we cannot easily gauge the quality of your images in real time. Browse our courses to book now!
Q. What is the technical content of the courses?
A. We try to balance technical content with giving you the creative freedom and time you need to take shots, experiment. Generally, we try to cover the following elements
- Creative composition
- Controlling light
- Utilising motion and speed

Q. What happens if the weather is bad?
A. London has varied weather, and to avoid disappointment we try and run the trails in most conditions. In fact, some ‘challenging weather’ conditions provide great photo opportunities. In rare circumstances the weather means we have to cancel the trails, in which case you receive a full refund (we will also try to inform as soon as possible in this event). Q. Can I bring children or a non-photographic partner?
A. We do charge the standard rate for non-photographic partners and children. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and you must take full custodial responsibility for them. Feel free contact us for more information.
Q. What do I need to wear and bring with me?
A. Wear sensible footwear for walking, and bring clothing that can keep you warm and dry.
Bring your camera and feel free to bring accessories if you have them, such as spare lenses and a tripod (if you are ok carrying it. Please also bear in mind some areas of London have restrictions on where you can safely use tripods). Browse our courses and book now!
