About Petra

Petra, Your Brighton TutorAs a photographer and teacher I am endlessly fascinated in the creative spirit that exists in each one of us. As a teacher, I see that my role is to nurture the creative spirit in each one of my students, encouraging them to find their own unique voice within the medium.

As a photographer I am deeply involved in the practice of expressing my internal world through the medium of photography, I am ever-curious as to what the next piece of work will be, what I will feel moved to explore next and through this engagement come to an ever deeper understanding of myself and others.

My approach to teaching is very much to focus on the student, to listen closely to their goals and ambitions and then do everything I am able to ensure they are successful in attaining those dreams.
